To obtain quality cucumbers, the first step is base fertilisation before sowing/transplanting in greenhouse or open field; the use of GRENA PLUS is recommended, taking into account the physico-chemical characteristics of the soil. Germination usually occurs within 3-10 days, and transplanting is often carried out when the seedlings show 4-5 true leaves.
– Sandy soils: apply 1000 kg of GRENA PLUS.
– Medium-textured, richer soils: reduce the dose to 600-800 kg per hectare.
GRENA PLUS helps balance the supply of organic matter in the soil (46% organic matter per kg of product), promoting the formation of a structure that retains nutrients and releases them gradually throughout the growing cycle. Good soil structure is crucial for reducing water wastage and the use of chemical fertilisers. All the elements it contains support good soil structure, such as 10% calcium and 4% organic nitrogen.
During the plant’s rapid growth, when the first tendrils appear and the main stem elongates, it is essential to promote root development. Root-level application of IDROGRENA Universal via drip line promotes root system depth and ensures lush, green foliage. A deep root system absorbs nutrients more effectively and supports balanced growth of the above-ground part. IDROGRENA Universal is essential for limiting water stress, to which cucumber is particularly sensitive, especially during rapid fruit swelling. This requires a high water supply without stress, and Idrogrena acts as a biostimulant, helping the leaves regulate stomatal opening and closing to conserve the soil’s water reserves.
Applying ENERGY close to flowering and pollination ensures more fertile flowers and better formation of the reproductive organs in plants like cucumber, which tends to have hermaphrodite flowers. For good pollination, ENERGY is ideal because it encourages the presence of pollinating insects. It is also a valuable foliar and biostimulant ally, as it contains small amounts of essential micro-elements (Zinc, Manganese, Boron and Iron) to help overcome critical phenological stages. DOSAGES:
