Nascita di Grena

The GRENA s.r.l. production site began in 1956, when founder Mr Teresio Magagna, assisted by his wife Amalia, produced protein hydrolysates for livestock feed use. 
1980 Turning point
history

La Svolta

In the years following 1980-81, a turning point occurs: starting from an insight into the potential of GRENA’s organic production matrix, and with research in that direction soon refined, the production and marketing of organic fertilisers begins to develop.
1990s Products

Nuovi Prodotti

In the 1990s, some organo-mineral products and the liquid biostimulant IDROGRENA were added to the organic product line, making the GRENA product range versatile enough to meet the needs of even the most demanding customers.

Nasce il Brand Grena

After an initial fifteen years spent producing fertilisers for third-party companies, in 1995 the company entered the market directly, with conviction and determination, to establish its own brand.

Since 2011, GRENA s.r.l. has specialised further, adding to the pellet format a new micro-granule product line, which was immediately very well received by customers, being even more versatile than pellets and therefore suitable for immediate use even in hard-to-work soils and protected crops.

Our presence worldwide

Grena products are no longer present only on the domestic market, but are expanding beyond national borders, across Europe and further afield.

Today, our biostimulants are used by French winegrowers, Spanish and Moroccan olive growers, Polish and German apple producers, vegetable growers in Hungary, Slovenia and Bosnia, fruit growers in Croatia and raspberry producers in Serbia, strawberry growers on the island of Malta and olive growers in Greece and Lebanon, as well as pistachio producers in Iran and banana producers in the Dominican Republic and Ecuador.

In this great community that Grena has become, all our Italian and international colleagues find room to grow, achieve and thrive, in a mutual exchange of ideas and development within the agricultural sector.
