GRENA SUPERFERRO is particularly suited to soils with iron deficiency; it contains the GRENA organic matrix and iron from iron sulphate. The presence of humic and fulvic acids provides stability in the mineralisation process, which in their absence would occur more rapidly and lead to leaching. Humic and fulvic acids are in fact responsible for forming humate complexes with the chemical elements present in the soil; for example, humic acid combined with iron forms an iron-humate compound. This iron-humate compound is recognised by the plant and is therefore more readily assimilated.
The naturally contained amino acids also activate root proliferation and chelation, allowing the root system to absorb mineralised NPK from the soil, and by promoting the production of organic compounds they increase the plant’s ability to absorb nutrients, including iron.
